Lost Boys Welcome

I am truly excited about this.

It is the first time that I write this blog in English, even though the more I think about it the more it makes sense for me to do so. The story of The Lost Boys’ Tribe is a story that should be told in English, even though I am Israeli, and English is not my first language. Most of my own journey with this tribe has taken place outside of Israel – away from what I considered home, far from my familiar surroundings and people, far enough to feel comfortable trying to find my real self.

This is the on-going story of my travels with the seekers of the spiritual world, especially with a close connection to the Sannyas community and my spiritual master Osho. It is a long, inter-connected dance. And from where I am now in my life, I feel the urge to share some of the insights from this journey; to look at it, with depth and honesty and a great deal of love. But it is also time for me, for us, to shake things up a bit and to see the pitfalls on our paths – the “mistakes”, misunderstandings and confusions –    for the sake of our fellow travelers and for the sake of all of us, the people we love and for what we are for the world.

I keep on calling this a “story” when in fact this is about real life. In the Hebrew blog I write about my everyday life, about relationships, stories related to work and sometimes I share my experiences from workshops etc. The point is to create a platform for us, the tribe, to give voice to our understandings about the world, about the marketplace. To realize that by being who we are we hold a responsibility to be as truthful as possible and also to be brave enough to look at what we still do not see.

The blog started as a joint venture between Ruth Bar Shalev and myself. It was born and is still inspired by our talks and sessions which have given me a new perspective of the special journey I am walking as part of the tribe and also as an “elder “in it.

My wish is for us all to contribute to this blog and to use its format as a new way of discovering the gifts that we all bring and the light that we are. I truly feel that together we can build bridges between the old and the new and unveil the misconceptions of both.

Each chapter is made up of 3 parts – the first one is a piece that I or any of us write. It is usually something personal and can be about any subject that touches the heart and the soul. The second part is called “The confusion” in Hebrew. It serves to highlight the misunderstandings that can come from old ways of thinking or conditioning that we picked up along the way. It deals with the realm of the mind and its specific ways of making us act and be in the world. And the last part, we call it “The gate” or, if you wish, “The resolution”, comes to offer a new perspective or insight into truth and the power of living in tune with life’s flow, the power of embodying love.
